The COURSE
Located on a 300-acre tract of land just east
of
I-95
in Palm City/Stuart, Florida, The Fox Club
is set among
majestic soft pines, sparkling lakes, and
tranquil nature
preserves that are home to many forms
of wildlife.
This 144-acre course is more characteristic of the
Carolinas than South Florida, due to its
undulating
terrain and tall pine trees.
Originally called Cobblestone Country Club, the course was designed
in 1989 by Roy Case.
Cobblestone hosted many professional,
state, and
amateur events throughout the 1990s.
In the summer of 2004, a group of private investors purchased the club with the intent of creating
a private golf club dedicated to the highest level of service. Darren Clarke and Eoghan O'Connell
redesigned the course; upgrades include all new tees with Pass Palum grasses, undulating Tift Eagle
greens, and spectacular Donald Ross style bunkers. The course has been lengthened and graded to
allow impressive views of the numerous lakes and preserves. Course measurements are 7,150 yards
from the black tees, 6,600 from the gold tees and 6,000 from the silver tees.
The club's many amenities include a fully remodeled clubhouse and golf shop. The Fox Club also provides a “lodge” for the convenience of members and their guests. We have a new driving range featuring target greens at various yardages, and new putting and short-game greens, both built to USGA specifications.
