A UNIQUE COMBINATION OF ELEGANCE, TRADITION, EXPERIENCE AND TALENT
Darren Clarke, PGA Professional, Course Designer - Darren Clarke has won many tour events all over the world. The most memorable was when he beat Tiger Woods to win the Accenture World Matchplay
Championship in 2000. He added another World Tour event when he won NEC at Firestone in 2003. He has
played in four consecutive Ryder Cups, beginning in 1997 and has won 14 tournaments worldwide. Known
as the cigar-smoking, fun-loving Irishman, we look forward to having him join us from time to time for golf
and a few beverages.
Whitey Ford, Founding Member - We are proud to have Edward Charles Ford "Whitey Ford" as a founding
member and ambassador for The Fox Club. The New York Yankees hall of famer is one of the all-time baseball
greats. He played with the Yankees from 1950 to 1967, posting the best winning percentage among 20th
Century pitchers with 200 or more decisions. He won the Cy Young award in 1961. Whitey is among the most
respected athletes in America. He will be a great asset to the membership of the club.
Eoghan O'Connell, Managing Partner, Co-Designer - Eoghan O'Connell was an All-American at Wake Forest
University, where he was the recipient of the Arnold Palmer Scholarship. Eoghan was a member of the winning
Walker Cup team in 1989, representing the British and Irish team. He was unbeaten in four matches, including
a half with Phil Mickelson. Eoghan also was on the winning Eisenhower Trophy World Amateur team in 1988
and was Medalist at the U.S. Amateur at Merion in 1989. As a professional, he won the Swedish Matchplay
